  1. Brief description of how you got to where you are in terms of your career (you can mention the struggles you went through)

I am Jerry Ramonyai. I grew up in Soshanguve, a low-income township in Pretoria. Growing up in Soshanguve was rough, my parents were domestic workers so growing up was very challenging financially. I went to government school which had less resources. One thing I learned from an early age is that education was my only ticket out of poverty. I studied hard, after matric I went to the University of Cape Town. This is where I learnt that education will get you out of poverty but personal development is the key to wealth. With this in mind I read all the personal development books I could find. I after eight years of reading personal development books. I started writing my own books and published them on Amazon. In my books, I talk about the three dimensions of life: wealth, health and wisdom. My books help people with career development, wealth creation, success principles, business startup and job-hunting techniques.

My books are selling relatively well on Amazon and now I want to help more people especially now since COVID destroyed the economy. I am a Credit Risk Analyst by profession, I work for Nedbank. I am in the process of completing my MBA and I am a group leader of my MBA class. I have worked internationally for three years and now I want to help the South African Banking industry transform their operations through big data and most importantly, I want to help South African youth with the challenges they face in life and with career development through my books. I wrote a book that can help people move from where they are in their life now and help them build wealth. The name of the book is ‘Mindset: Habits of highly effective people’ by Jerry Ramonyai. The book is available on amazon. I also have a website that summarizes the key concepts of my book to help people get a quick overview on self-development, job hunting, business startup and wealth creation.

  1. A brief advice you can give to people aspiring to be in your position.

For everyone who is struggling to get a job, start a business or grow their money, Read as many books as you can find. Every challenge has a solution and many books are available to help you solve any problem you might be facing in your life. Use public libraries if you can’t afford to buy a book. To solve any problem in life you need information and books are the most reliable source of information. Remember, education will get you out of poverty but personal development will make you rich.

    I was sitting in my kitchen drinking a cup of coffee and cleaning my camera . I was really down and the rain outside didn’t help. I had just turned 78. I had lost my wife last year after a short battle with cancer. I missed her terribly. We had been married for almost 60 years. Little did I know my life was going to change.

    I was thinking about selling our home since the reason for buying such a big home was gone. It was large because my wife had several sewing machines and needed the room. As I walked her out she stopped to look at my wife’s pictures. Before I could stop my mouth I said I had a lot more in my side of the house. She smiled and said she would like to see them sometime. She walked out and I had a view of the beautiful tight ass. I thought to myself that her husband was very lucky.
